Reports: Property Overview

The Property Overview Dashboard & Report displays portfolio data at a property level and allows users to export the general property data.

Maintaining building information is a never-ending project, especially when it comes to onsite management teams & space use details.  This report using your Backpack data allows you to not only view the data but also export it into a CSV or PDF for internal use and distribution.

This report puts valuable information at your fingertips including:

  1. A Breakdown of property by main use type (in alignment with Energy Star Portfolio Manager).
  2. A map that displays property location by region
  3. Further details on the portfolio like SQFT & Units (Multi-family) broken down by use type.
  4. All information from the Building Overview page for each building viewable in card or table format.
  5. Contact information for each property from the Asset Manager to the Engineer.

To View the Report: 

Login to Backpack and navigate to the 'REPORT' dropdown menu on the left-hand side. Select ' PROPERTY OVERVIEW'. The Property Overview report will populate based on the properties you have have access to across the account.  If you can't see all of your buildings contact you Backpack administrator or the Backpack support team.

The First Portion of the Report Provides an Easy Visual Breakdown of:

  • A visual representation of the buildings within the portfolio and their use type according to Energy Star Portfolio Manager guidelines.  This is often the main use type for the building. For example, if the building is mostly office but contains some retail the use type is office.
  • A map divided into four regions as determined by the US Census, those regions are West, Midwest, South and Northeast,
  • The data displayed is pulled directly from each building, if data is incorrect navigate to the individual building or contact the Backpack support team for assistance.

To Filter the Compliance Report: 

 

There are multiple ways to filter the compliance report using our standard Backpack filters you will find at the top of each reporting page.  The report view can be filtered base on the following: 

  • Property Type
  • Fund (if applicable) 
  • Market (if applicable) 
  • Asset Manager
  • Advanced filters allow users to filter the report view by building(s). This filter can be used alongside any of the standard filters. 

To apply a standard or advanced filter Select the desired filter dropdown, and check/uncheck the boxes you wish.

Note: Filter selections can be individually selected/removed, or cleared by clicking "CLEAR ALL."  All options can be selected by clicking the "SELECT ALL"

 

The Second Section Provides a Breakdown by Building:

In this section you can view detailed information about each building.  This is the data behind the metrics at the top of the report as well as additional information.

The building-level information within the portfolio can be displayed in two ways, either a card, or table. Each card/table row represents a single compliance requirement for a building. Any building can have multiple requirements, therefore users see multiple cards/rows. 

Downloading the Report

There are two options to download the report:

  1. Select the DOWNLOAD REPORT button in the top right hand corner of the report page to download a PDF of the report data.
  2. Click the download ICON to the right of the CARD/TABLE options to download a CSV of the report data.
