Navigating the Backpack: The Main Menu & Dropdown Navigation

Navigating Backpack begins with the main menu on the left side of the screen. Here you can view portfolio data, reports and property specific data.

Portfolio

Backpack Homepage - Click here from anywhere in the software to return to the main page
Marketplace - complete list of the rebates partners within the Backpack Rewards program
Dashboards - multiple dashboards including equipment & project data, onboarding completion, environmental data all at both a property and portfolio level
Reports - multiple reports including property profile and energy star data at a property or portfolio level

Property

Overview - basic property data
Utilities - all the property utility data, connection information & download options
Property - available with only select Backpacks, details about the property including a digital stacking plan, information on leasing, equipment data at a space level
Documents - cloud document storage & sharing
Projects - complete list of capital projects including historical data
Operations - available only with select Backpacks & when connected to a property BAS, detailed operational data with options to graph data
Equipment - detailed equipment data including photos, location & all the details collected onsite

Expand/Collapse - You have the ability to collapse, or expand, the menu at any time. Use the arrow icon next to "Backpack Homepage" to expand/collapse the menu. Click the arrow icon again to expand and "pin" the menu in the open state.
Hover - When the menu is collapsed, you can hover over any area of the menu to expand the menu and click the desired selection
Section Expansion - Reports and Properties can be expanded to show more information by clicking on the arrow next to each name

When you need property-specific content, there are two ways to access a property:

Click the property you would like to view from the Backpack Homepage icons - the icons will have the property name & photo displayed, the property icons will appear after one visit
Click "Select a Property" in the dropdown at the top of the page adjacent to the account name

You can also access properties by clicking on the "Select a Property" dropdown at the top right in the software.

Click on "Select a Property" to expand the section; a list of the Backpack properties will appear.

Click on "Select a Property" and then type in a few letters of the property you are looking for to narrow down the list, Note that only property you have access to show up on the list. If you need access to other property contact your Backpack Administrator or Backpack support.

Once the Property page is open a new left menu will appear to show the sections of the property ata. Those sections include:
