Backpack Rewards: Claiming Your Rebate
Claiming your Cash Back on Everyday Building Purchases
Getting Money back is easy with Backpack!
Backpack Rewards allows you to earn cash back when you or your contractors purchase qualifying items from our Rewards Partners. Think of it like utility rebates—once you buy an eligible product, Backpack issues a rebate directly back to the building.
There are two ways to claim a reward: submit the receipt from the Backpack home page or Add the receipt to a new or existing project.
The easiest option is to submit your receipt directly on the Backpack Home Page in just a few clicks!
Submit a rebate receipt on the Backpack home page

Navigate to the Backpack homepage & Upload your receipt in the yellow and white REBATES bar at the top of the page
That's it - you are done, we will process the receipt and notify you at the end of the year with your total savings! Keep in mind, new product categories and partners are added each quarter! Keep an eye out for our next launch via email and in the software!
Submit a Rebate receipt through a project
To claim a reward through projects you will need to have an active project in Backpack to associate with the purchase. If you need help activating projects, see: Activating your Projects in Backpack.
Once your project is set up, follow the steps below to add and claim your reward.
Adding rewards to a project

Go to the PROJECTS page for the building associated with the receipt you want to submit.

If the purchase applies to multiple buildings, choose one building and submit all receipts there.

- On the Projects page, you can either:

Click the project name to open the project details, or

Add a new project if needed. Learn how here: How to Add a Project in Backpack

- Select the REWARDS tab located next to the project information tab, right above document upload section
- Click the pencil icon on the right side of the screen (next to “Energy Saver”) to edit the fields and add rewards information.

Select the appropriate vendor from the list. If unsure, select the closest match—our team will verify.
- Upload your receipt or paid invoice using the UPLOAD RECEIPT button. If you don’t have the receipt yet, you can enter the data now and upload the file later.
- Select your rewards method applicable to your Backpack contract. If unsure, choose the best option—our team will confirm.

Click SUBMIT to send your rewards request or save the information for future upload.
