Guide: Vendor Management

Learn how to use Backpack's Vendor List to make managing vendors easier, and sharing contacts a breeze.

Welcome to your centralized hub for all things related to vendors! Backpack's Vendor Management tool empowers users with a Vendor List that is easy to update, share, and download. Stay on to of every changing contacts, easily bring new vendors onboard, and keep your projects moving forward. 

To View your Vendor List: 

STEP 1: 

Login to Backpack and navigate to 'BUILDING SELECTION'. Select the building you'd like to view.

STEP 2:

From the drop down list, select the 'OVERVIEW' tab. Another drop down will open, select 'VENDOR LIST'. 

You will now see your building's vendor list!

To Add a New Vendor: 

STEP 1: 

Login to Backpack and navigate to the left hand menu where you can select the building you'd like to view.

Select the 'OVERVIEW' tab. A drop down will open, select 'VENDOR LIST'.

STEP 2: 

Select the 'ADD VENDOR' button at the top of the vendor list.

STEP 3: 

Populate your vendor's information in the 'ADD VENDOR' pop out window.

Required Vendor Information: 

  • Vendor Type 
    • Company 
    • Person
    • Software
  • Company Name
  • Email Address
  • Vendor Website

Note: To complete the Onboarding Guide, you must add at least one vendor to your vendor list! 

Optional Additional Vendor Information:

  • Contact Name
  • Contact Role
  • Phone Number

STEP 4: 

Select 'DONE' and your new vendor will save and appear in the Vendor List.
