Utility Account Nicknames

How To Assign a Utility Account Nickname

Backpack Users are able to assign each utility account a  nickname.  Account nicknames make it easy keep track of what each account represents on the property.  This is also helpful when a change in the team occurs, no guessing what goes to each account.

Here are some examples of account nicknames; the nickname is fully customizable to your needs!
  • Building A Electricity & Gas Account
  • Main Building Electricity Account
  • Parking Garage Lighting & Water Account
  • Building 12 & 13 Water
To Add or Update an Account nickname:
  1. Click the pencil icon next to "accounts."
  2. In the pop-up window look for the "account nickname" column in the chart at the bottom of the window.
  3. Enter the desired nickname & click NEXT
  4. Confirm the changes on the next page & click SUBMIT to finalize

Repeat the process above to update the nickname at any time.
