# Property Overview Page

## How to utilize the Property Overview page including editing data & updating contacts

### **Property Overview Data**

The property overview page contains all the essential property data for the property.  This data also rolls up into many of the Backpack reports so it's easy to access at property and portfolio level.

The Overview page includes the following fields.  Reference the [System of Record](https://kb.backpacknetworks.com/system-of-record?hsLang=en)article for details on editing these fields.

- Name - name of the property
- Legal Name - legal entity (ie: Smith Property, LLC)
- Address - main street address (for Multi-family this is the main address for the property)
- Property Type - main property type according to Energy Star Portfolio Manager
- Gross Sq. Footage
- Rentable Sq. Footage
- Year Constructed
- Contact information for each role 
    - Only users of the software can be added as contacts.  Not seeing someone you need to add? Consult this [document for information on adding users.](https://kb.backpacknetworks.com/managing-users-in-backpack?hsLang=en)
- % Ownership - add ownership details that add up to 100%
- Entity Name - typically the same as the Legal Name/Entity above

### **Property Use**

Office property subscriptions may also have a property use diagram at the bottom of the overview page.  This is completed by the Backpack team and links to the PROPERTY section of the Backpack.
